Religion Matters

Intro.
This blog is about religion. The religion I have chosen to do my blog about is Judaism.

Founder.
The founder of Judaism was Judas Maccabaeus. Maccabaeus had done many things. After a few decades Judaism was formed. Maccabaeus had always wanted to start his own religion so after a few 20-30 years, Maccabaeus formed Judaism.

Number of Followers today and where they are mostly found.
Today there are 337,000 people following the Judaism religion. Most of these people are found in Africa. Africa has about 3/4 of these people following Judaism.

Holy Books/Sacred Texts.
The Holy Book for Judaism is the Torah. The Torah is like the Bible for us Christians. It has many chapters in one book or you can get separate books of all the chapters.

Religious Holidays.
Some Judaism holidays are Hanukkah, The Jewish Calender, Counting The Omar, Days Of Awe, Passover. These Jewish holidays are all VERY important to all the jews.

Rituals/Customs.
One of the rituals of Judaism is that the Jews do not eat meat on Fridays at Lent. They believe it is impolite to these animals that they eat on Fridays at Lent.

Clothing.
The clothes that Jews wear are, all black clothing, men are not allowed to shave their beards, and women have to cover up. Women can not have skin showing. Not all Jews dress like this and not all people agree with this particular clothing style but I don't mind how they dress. I don't mind if they don't wanna go with their rituals and clothing styles, that is okay with me.

Organization.
In Judaism, you go to a Jewish church. You go on Fridays to Lent, at Lent you also do not eat meat, as said for the Rituals.

Ending.
So as you can see, Judaism is different then some religions and close to some of the other religions. There are some different things about Judaism that are different from other religions like Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism.
